Ubisoft Releases A Sneak Peak On ‘Rainbox Six: Siege’ New Map

Ubisoft has just given its loyal players a taste of what’s to come in the upcoming map for “Rainbow Six: Siege”. The new trailer consist of a 30 second clip that shows a whole new coastline map for players to explore. It is the first map update for 2017 and it will be focused on Spain.

The new map is called Velvet Shell was first revealed last week but aside from its Spanish content, not much details have been shared according to Gamerant. Today, the short trailer reveals new content and features for players that players can look forward of. It features Spanish architecture, ancient foundations, tied together by La Perla Blanca coastline hotel.

Although a hotel in the same name does exist in Spain, the hotel is 100% made up and is situated in a different location. The new map also brings a whole new game experience with a day and night version of the map. Players can enjoy a beautiful sunshine during the day while night time brings a different feel with all the neon lights around the city.

And if that’s not enough, Ubisoft will also give an early preview of the game via streaming on February 5, 2017, at 10 AM PST. Not many details yet have been released regarding the new operators but are expected to be revealed on the live streaming. All that is confirmed is one of them is a female named Elena “Mira” Alvarez Del Manzan and is known to repair things.

With the new update, players are now considering the season pass as it will remove all locks for the 8 new operators to play with, receive 8 new dress uniforms, headgear, new weekly challenges and discounts in the in-game shop. Gamerant reports the “Rainbow Six Siege” season pass is priced at $30 but players who purchase it before February 7 will get a rare obsidian weapon skin. Moreover, those who have the year 1 pass will get an extra 600 bonus R6 bucks.
