Watch Dogs News: Creative Director Provides Minimum PC Specs

You'll Need At Least the Following to Play Watch Dogs on PC

We live in a great time, where fans can simply reach out to game developers and ask whatever question they desire. But even better than that is when they actually respond to your their questions. That was the case for a fan and Watch Dogs' Creative Director, Jonathan Morin, who told a fan via Twitter, the bare minimum of what he'd need to play the game on PC.

So for everyone looking to hack up Chicago when the game drops, let this be your warning that you have until May 27 to make sure that your setup has at least the minimum following specs:

Processor: IntelCore 2 Quad Q8400 2.66 GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 940 3.0GHz, 6 GB RAM
Video Card: 1024 VRAM with DirectX 11Shader 5.0 support
Sound Card: DirectX9
Hard Drive Space: 25 GB

Ubisoft had previously offered up specs before. Morin's tweet echoes the same list on minimum requirements, but the company reccomends the following:

- Processor: Core i7 3770 @ 3.5Ghz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0Ghz
- RAM: 8 GB
- Video Card: 2048 VRAM DirectX 11 with Shader Model 5.0 or higher
- Sound Card: Surround Sound 5.1 capable sound card

Supported video cards at time of release

- nVidia GeForce GTX460 or better, GT500, GT600, GT700 series
- AMD Radeon HD5850 or better, HD6000, HD7000, R7 and R9 series
- Intel Iris Pro HD 5200.

Watch Dogs' open world of Chicago is home to a security network that would make Orwell piss his pants, responsible for keeping everyone and everything jacked in for the purpose of keeping tabs. At the same time, it allows players as Aiden to meddle with all manner of the city's infrastructure as they see fit - ATM's, traffic lights, security cameras, raise bridges, public transportation, access various networks, etc.

The game is slated to release on PC, PlayStation 3 and 4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One this May.
