'Pokemon GO’ Valentine’s Day Event Has Ended Except For One Important Feature That Gets Extended

The Valentine’s event of “Pokemon GO” has officially ended but one very useful feature was extended for a few more days. It's no other than the Lure Module extension that makes the original 30-minute time limit last longer for six hours in the event. Niantic has announced that the feature will be available until February 18.

As a way of giving back to all their loyal gamers, Gamesport reports Niantic expressed their gratitude through a Twitter post and said they will extend the new Lure Module feature until February 18, 2017, up to 4 PM. The tweet says “Thanks for spreading the love this #ValentinesDay. As our gift to you, Lure Modules will continue to last 6 hrs.”

However, the other features of Valentine’s event such as the increased sightings of “adorable pink Pokemon” which includes Porygon, Chansey, Jigglypuff, and more is expected to end as scheduled today. The higher possibility of hatching rare Pokemon like Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Smoochum will also end at the same time according to Forbes.

Based on the tweet, the only feature from Valentine’s event to remain is the Lure Module which is not really bad because of it's an extension of up to 12x its original time limit. This allows the players to save up from using their Lure Modules and enjoy more time playing.

Meanwhile “Pokemon GO” has also announced the coming of 80 new Pokemon in the game from Pokemon Gold and Silver. These are the same Pokemon featured in Johto region which includes Chikorita, Totodile, and Cyndaquil. Moreover, Niantic also promised the coming of the highly anticipated trading and PvP battle feature and explains the only reason it is not up sooner is because of game server issues. Although no exact date has been given, the new features are expected to come very soon.
