‘Pokemon GO’ Will Receive 3 Major Updates In 2017

“Pokemon GO” was the most downloaded mobile game on Apple’s store for 74 consecutive days and has received the title of most successful mobile game ever released. Its first major update, introducing Generation 2 pokemon brought back the game on the most downloaded position. What is planned for the game’s future?

An article shared by Game Rant informs that Ninantic, the creators of the hit mobile app “Pokemon Go” are planning to release three major updates to the game during the span of 2017. This sure is good news for dedicated fans, as the first major update of the game brought it back among the most popular mobile titles. The updates are planned to be evenly distributed over the year so they can keep players engaged, but the content of the updates has not yet been shared. What changes will be introduced in future is a question which enter the field of pure speculation.

Expected features in “Pokemon GO” are a painful topic, as many expectation get crushed after every patch and update, that is why Niantic has been careful with statements about their plans for the game, as this could lead to unplanned expectations. Such is the topic of PvP in “Pokemon Go”, but Digital Spy has some good news for those who are expecting the feature’s appearance in the game. Niantic’s CEO John Hanke has said that they understand the value which PvP battles hold for this game and it may find its way onto their roadmap for the game. Even though not quite the concrete statement, it is one which proves that Niantic are following the trends among players and taking a notice of them.

Another long expected feature in “Pokemon Go” is trading. An articles issued by Business Insider shares an interview with John Hanke, taken back in July, 2016. Back then, Niantic’s CEO promised that a new feature will be introduced to the game, one that is inspired by the original “Pokemon” series, non-other, than the ability to share your pokemon with your friends. Sadly, this still remain an unattained possibility, but if he has said it is coming, it is surely in the development plan.

“Pokemon Go” is available for iOS and Android devices.
