"Hearthstone" update has been released by Blizzard, as a new expansion is expected to come soon. The patch brought a number of changes previously announced such as the Arena and the Ranked Play.
"Hearthstone" Update Delivers Big Changes To Arena, Ranked Play And Other Features
"Hearthstone" players who have reached some milestones for the season on Ranked mode 20, 15, 10, 5 and Legend will not be able to lose ranks after that point. On the other hand, Arena will shift to the Standard format, which limits the potential cards that show up.
As the "Hearthstone" spell cards show up, so will the Epics, Legendaries and Rares, while the neutral Black and Classic cards become less common. Reports suggest that this will likely bring golden versions of cards into Arena battles if the players own a golden card already.
In terms of balance in "Hearthstone", two changes were made, the Spirit Claws now available in two mana instead of just one, and the Small-Time Buccaneer loses health, which goes from two to one. Matchmaking has been improved as well for new players, and a new system is now being worked on to create an account on mobile to make the process easier. Meantime, bugs have also been fixed, including those in Small-Time Buccaneer's attacks, GameSpot reported.

"Hearthstone" team announced in mid-February through a blog post that revealed how a few Golden cards can be achieved without losing the free dust or the magic power for crafting the "Hearthstone" cards.
Incidentally, the next "Hearthstone" expansion releases on the same day the Year of the Mammoth begins. This means that the large number of cards will also rotate out of the Standard play and into the Wild. However, some of these cards will also be removed from the game, IGN reported.
