'Minecraft Dungeons' Patch 1.24 Update Guide: What Fixes, Changes Players could Expect

Mojang Studios released the patch notes for Minecraft Dungeons' Patch 1.24 Update that added the winter-themed "Festival of Frost" event in celebration of the game reaching 15 million players.

The event, according the patch notes posted on Minecraft's website, lets players enter 21 floors of the Tower that are full of snow and challenges.

The patch update also changed some in-game elements while it fixed several issues within the game's performance, gameplay, missions, gear, and user interface.

Fixes Made

According to MP1st.comMinecraft Dungeon's Patch 1.24 Update fixed an issue within the game that made it unresponsive when players navigated the Hero Select screen while checking for online permissions.

It also fixed the issues that cause the game to crash when they select "Equip" and press the Space bar while selecting an artifact on the Tower Reward Select screen, when they skip the process of linking their Microsoft Account on a PlayStation console, and when they log out of the game on PC.

According to PSU, the patch update fixed several issues in terms of gameplay, including one that causes players to not unlock rewards for reaching Adventure Rank 1 and 2 and another that causes the potions and TNT to fall through the ground after opening a chest or defending a mob.

It also fixed a glitch inside the game that caused the mobs to spawn suddenly in front of the players with no spawning animation.

It also fixed an issue within The Towers that causes players to not earn rewards after completing one of their floors.

In terms of missions, the patch update also fixed the issues that cause the music to not play for certain ambush events, a chest to be impossible to reach in Arch Haven, and areas of Underhalls to have inaccessible chests.

Changes

The Patch 1.24 Update also tweaked several of Minecraft Dungeons' elements.

According to Update Crazy, it added missing item descriptions for Gilded versions of the Nimble Turtle Armor, the Sponge Striker, the Encrusted Anchor, the Call of the Void, and the Sturdy Shulker Armor.

It also made the enchantment for The Growing to trigger on Exploding Crossbows the same as on other ranged weapons, while it made the Fuse Shot enhancement no longer generate on those crossbows.

It also tweaked the Verdant Robe, the Moon Daggers, the Soul Fists, and the Soul Hunter Crossbow to generate them with soul enhancements.

It also made several enchantments to trigger after a target took explosion damage instead of base projectile damage to make them work as intended with the Exploding Crossbow.

It also changed the Uniquesmith to upgrade the power level of a selected item to match the strongest piece of gear at the Gildsmith.

The patch update also made the Enhancement Point values no longer become negative after gliding an enhancement item at the Gildsmith.

It also made the Duck, Toucan, and Raven pets no longer stay outside their air bubbles during Hidden Depths missions.
