Ever since Infinity Ward first teased that the Predator would be making an appearance in Call of Duty: Ghosts' second DLC, Devastation, my brain went into overdrive wondering which of the space hunter's wicked weaponry we'd get to try. Whatever you may think of the recent and godawful Predator movies, you still have to admit that their selection is pretty damn impressive.
Based on Michael Myers of "Halloween" fame's appearance in Onslaught, I was worried that we might only get the Predator's retractable blade to play with. Don't get me wrong, it's cool in its own right (shades of Weapon X), but that's just scraping the iceberg of the Predator's aresenal.
So I was pleased to learn that there's more than that to play with. With Devastation releasing today, Activision sent out a lovely press kit detailing all the DLC's additions, touching on the Predator specifically.
While detailing the map on which the Predator lurks, "Ruins," the release mentioned that as the alien creature, "players will brandish its dual wrist blades and shoulder-mounted plasma cannon, as well as be able to utilize the creature's keen hunting abilities to track down enemy players."

This combined with the plasma cannon working in conjunction with the Predator's HUD contained in its helmet translates to me as players being able to see things just like the Predator does, in infra-red. And as the screen shot below confirms, this is indeed the case.
Given the teaser, I'd assume the Predator's cloaking ability is also present, but there wasn't any mention of that specifically. Still, it's good news for anyone who wants to re-create Carl Weathers doing his best impression of Rick Allen. There, let's see anyone else try to reference Apollo Creed and Def Leppard in one sentence.
Devestation is expected on other platforms in about a month's time.
