The Best PS5 And PS4 Games With Mouse And Keyboard Support To Play In 2022

The BEST PS5 And PS4 Games You Can Play With A Mouse And Keyboard In 2022

The PS5 and the PS4 are two consoles that marked the beginning of Sony's "PC-fication" of their proprietary gaming hardware. But despite that, mouse and keyboard support in games on these systems are still few and far between - though things seem to have been changing for the better.

In this list, you will learn about the best PS5 and PS4 games that support mouse and keyboard controls either straight out of the box, or with a few tweaks. However, we're putting a disclaimer forward: while some of these games might not be considered the "best" in their respective franchises or genres, we are talking about their support for mouse and keyboard controls. So everything is far game.

Without further ado, let's begin!

Overwatch

Don't believe all of those YouTube videos saying that Overwatch is a "dead" game because it is, in fact, still very much alive almost seven years on. First released in 2015, Activision Blizzard's hero-bases shooter gained fame for its own blend of first-person shooting and MOBA tropes - and now, it's getting a sequel.

Android Central writes that mouse and keyboard controls provide a tremendous advantage in gameplay, as expected. In a game as fast-paced and competitive as this, going for the fast-twitch potential of the mouse while aiming can spell the difference between sucking and dominating. Unless, of course, you played with a controller your entire life and you're used to it.

Call Of Duty Black Ops: Cold War

So many people play the Call of Duty games for their multiplayer nowadays, it's automatic. Cold War's multiplayer offers very much the same, tried-and-tested gameplay loop that these games have. But with mouse and keyboard on the PS4 and PS5, you get a massive (but not unfair) advantage over ordinary folks playing with controllers.

But with Cold War, it's not just about the multiplayer. Its single-player campaign is one of the best in the entire series, with Digital Spy's review praising it for being "tight, slick, and lots of fun" while keeping common military shooter tropes from bogging it down the entire way.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla

Say what you want about Ubisoft and the Assassin's Creed franchise as a whole: there has to be a good reason why the latest instalment, Valhalla, is now the best-selling Assassin's Creed game of all time.

Ubisoft added mouse and keyboard support for Valhalla rather stealthily, and it seems to work quite fine all things considered. All you have to do on a PS4 or PS5 is connect either a wired or wireless mouse and keyboard setup (though we recommend you go wired for less hassle). Then, go to Valhalla's in-game settings, open the Controls tab, and scroll down until you find mouse and keyboard. There, you can manage your key bindings.

They Are Billions

When was the last time you saw a real-time strategy (RTS) game be released on a console like the PS4 or PS5? When? It's hard to remember, right? Because it rarely happens! But that changes with the RTS game They Are Billions, which first came out on the last-gen Sony PlayStation console.

This Steampunk-style game tasks you with building and defending human colonies against zombies, whose goal is to decimate the last living humans on the planet. With mouse and keyboard controls, playing this game will be an absolute blast as it gives you the kind of fine tuned movement that no controller can give you.
