According to The Windows Club's latest report, there are several reasons why Windows 11 crashes when playing "Call of Duty" titles, including "Vanguard." 
These issues include the following:

  • The Windows 11 error happens if your "Vanguard" file is not properly updated. 
  • If your PC system is crashing when opening "Vanguard," some applications may be causing the issue. 
  • Corrupted game files could also lead to Windows 11 errors and other bugs, affecting your "Vanguard" file. 
  • On the other hand, your in-game settings and activated in-game overlay feature may also cause Windows 11 to crash.  

How To Fix 'Vanguard' Windows 11 

MakeUseOf provided some tips on how you can fix the Windows 11 issue on "Call of Duty: Vanguard." Here are some of them: 

Deactivating the Xbox Game Bar

  1. The first thing you need to do is open your Settings and choose the pinned app's Start menu shortcut option. 
  2. After that, click the "Gaming" button. This will allow you to access the tab's navigation options. 
  3. Then, choose the Xbox Game Bar button and deactivate the "Open Xbox Game Bar" feature. 

Use DirectX 11 to Configure your "Call of Duty: Vanguard"

  1. First, you need to access the Battlenet gaming client software and click the "Call of Duty: Vanguard" button. 
  2. Then, find the cog icon, which is located at the right corner of the Play button, and click the Game Settings. 
  3. After that, choose the "Additional command-line arguments" checkbox and enter the command "-d3d11" in the line box. 

Aside from these two methods, you can also update your Windows PC's GPU driver, check the Windows 11 Defender Firewall settings, and repair the "Call of Duty: Vanguard" game files.
