5 Advanced Tips That Every Fortnite Player Should Know

Fortnite is a fun yet competitive game that can be enjoyed by casual players and pros alike. While you can certainly just play the game casually, you have to give it the time and respect it deserves if you want to rack up consistent wins. So today, I am going to share with you some advanced tips to help you gain the upper hand.

Familiarize the Map

Whether you are playing the original battle royale or the "No Build" mode, you have to get acquainted with the map so that you will know where to go. Oftentimes, players just drop on the battlefield and just roam around aimlessly, getting shot without a moment's notice.

You will need about 10 games or so to traverse the map in its entirety. Make sure to take note of crucial points, including areas where the best weapons frequently spawn, as well as places where fights usually happen.

Epic Games makes changes to the game's map every season, so learning about it is something that you should do on a regular basis.

Clever Use of the 'Shield Breaker'

The Shield Breaker EMP is a throwable grenade that disables turrets, cars, and other electronic devices. However, did you know that it can actually be used for a different purpose?

Well, you can hurl the Shield Breaker EMP near a vending machine and it will cause it to drop 150 gold bars each and every time. Since you can bring a stack of six grenades with you at a time, you can technically throw all of them at vending machines for a whopping sum of 900 gold. Of course, you can use the Shield Breaker EMP against other players, but be sure to save some so that you can try this trick at some point.

Use Headphones, Seriously

Invest in a good pair of headphones and use them. The reason is that a lot of things can happen in Fortnite, so much so that you might not know how to react just because you are bombarded with information.

The good news is that you can wear a good pair of headphones to take advantage of positional audio. This means that you will get a better grasp of where the sounds are coming from when you have some headphones on.

Is someone trying to sneak behind you for the kill? Well, their attempt will be futile because you know that they are there waiting!

Hire NPCs to Revive You

If you get hit enough times in Fortnite, you will be in a downed state. While other teammates can help you get back up, they might not be close by to do that. Fortunately, you can hire NPCs to revive you instead.

You see, you can still interact with NPCs even when you are in a downed state. You just have to crawl slowly towards them so as to not attract the attention of the enemy.

Don't Load Up on Weapons

While you can find a plethora of weapons just lying on the ground for you to pick up, do not get more than two. That's right! You can actually just alternate between a couple of guns, leaving some room for more items that provide utility.

So, what type of weapons should you keep then? Well, make sure that you have one for long-range engagements and another for close-quarters combat.
