The long-awaited revival of the "Marathon" franchise is coming from Bungie in less than two months.

The video game company has announced that "Marathon" is scheduled for release on March 5, 2026.

'Marathon' Gets Release Date

The game, which was originally slated for a September 23, 2025, release date, was delayed indefinitely by the company, according to Ars Technica.

Engadget reports that Sony, Bungie's parent company, previously committed to a March 2026 release window but stopped short of providing an exact date.

This makes the revelation of a new release date welcomed news for fans who have been waiting long for the game.

Ars Technica further notes that a Standard Edition and a Deluxe Edition will be released for the game. The Standard Edition will cost $40, while the Deluxe Edition will set users back $60.

It will be released for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and Windows.
