Pearl Abyss is bringing its next major open-world action-adventure, "Crimson Desert," to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on March 19, 2026.
If you're an open-world fan, chances are you will immediately get the hang of the upcoming title. The game promises sprawling landscapes, intense combat, and a richly crafted medieval fantasy world. Preorders are now live, offering exclusive bonuses across multiple editions.
Standard Edition: Physical and Digital
From the creators of "Black Desert Online," "Crimson Desert" is another trip to satisfy your hunger for open-world adventure. As early as now, you can pre-order different editions of the game.
The Standard Edition is priced at $69.99 and includes the full game plus the preorder Khaled Shield. Physical copies can be purchased at major retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Walmart.
Digital versions are available on PS Store, Xbox Store, Steam, Epic Games, Fanatical, and GMG. Select PS5 retailers also offer a Steelbook version.
Deluxe Edition: Collectibles and In-Game Content
For players seeking extra content, the Deluxe Edition offers both physical and digital options, according to IGN.
- Physical Deluxe ($89.99): Limited Steelbook, developer letter, Greymane brooch, character cards, patches, Pywel map, plus digital in-game items: Kairos Plate Set, Balgran Shield, and Exclaire Horse Set.
- Digital Deluxe ($79.99): Includes all in-game content without physical collectibles.
Preorder Bonuses
All editions include the Khaled Shield, while PS5 preorders unlock the Grotevant Plate Set, which features a helm, armor, cloak, gloves, and boots. These bonuses give early customization advantages for your journey in Pywel.
Exploring the World of Crimson Desert
Players assume the role of Kliff, captain of the Greymanes, tasked with reuniting his scattered forces after a devastating attack by the Black Bear army. Traverse deserts, plains, and mountains, and travel via horses, wolves, or dragons.
A Zelda-style glider allows for sweeping aerial exploration, enhancing the game's verticality and freedom. Unlike traditional RPGs, progression is driven by exploration and discovery, not leveling or experience points.
Why 'Crimson Desert' Is a Must-Play
"Crimson Desert" aims to give you a new definition of open-world action-adventure games in 2026. Its breathtaking environments and immersive storytelling are enough to get you hooked for hours. Give a shot to Pearl Abyss' previous titles if you haven't played any games from them.
