'Madden 15' News: Cover Vote Now Live, Round One Contenders Includes Richard Sherman, Colin Kaepernick, Cam Newton, And More [VIDEO]

Now is the time folks. The first round of the NFL Draft is officially underway, meaning so to is the vote for gamers and football fanatics alike to pick their fav to grace the cover of Madden 15.

Madden 15 Release Date Announced Alongside Teaser Trailer Featuring Luke Kuechly

Last year's vote for Madden 25 was done tournament style with players new and old vying for the cover of the 25th Madden title. 32 brackets of all-time NFL greats on one side, and 32 modern NFL superstars on the other. After a month long tournament saw over 40 million votes cast, Barry Sanders emerged as the winner. But who will get the glory for this year's cover?

The first round of voting for the cover is now underway, and fans will narrow the 16 following players down to eight:

- Richard Sherman against Alshon Jeffery
- Jimmy Graham against Eddie Lacy
- Demaryius Thomas against Luke Kuechly
- Colin Kaepernick against Nick Foles
- Cam Newton against Antonio Brown
- Jamaal Charles against A.J. Green
- LeSean McCoy against T.Y. Hilton
- Andrew Luck against Alfred Morris.

Round two of voting commences on May 15, and we'll learn then who the options are. Given Carolina Panthers' linebacker and Defensive Player of the Year Luke Kuechly's involvement, expect Kuechly's counterpoint in Denver Broncos Quarterback Peyton "Whoops" Manning to appear in round two or three.
