With new games coming out, and online multiplayer becoming increasingly more prevalent, simply adding in servers isn't an option, and publisher EA has to cut costs somewhere. So come the end of June, fifty of the publishers' properties will lose online support, as the games' servers will be shut down.

The shut down is part of GameSpy's decision to end hosting services, which have an obvious impact on a number of publishers' titles, including EA's. While certain games will continue to get online support through other services, other games and their players aren't so lucky.
EA recently provided a list of games and their respective dates at which point online play will no longer be an option. Lord of Ultima, Supreme Heroes, Supreme Hero City, and Age of Champions all lost online support recently, and as of June 30, the following games will follow suit:
