New Metro Redux Trailer Gives Detailed, Narrated Look At New Graphics And Features For HD Metro 2033 And Last Light

Deep Silver has released a relatively lengthy new trailer for the Metro Redux, which walks you through the changes and upgrades with a helpful narration.

The previous trailers and screenshots already demonstrated that the remastering of Metro Last Light and Metro 2033 look great, but the new video shows comparisons in detail, and describes what you're seeing.

The narrator freely admits that the last generation consoles had to compromise on graphics, and that the highest-quality experience was on a powerful gaming PC. The current generation consoles, though, now allow the developers to tackle the games on consoles again with superior hardware, resulting in the superior graphics you see in the trailer.

Metro Redux also runs at a smooth 60fps on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4, which will please many who are frustrated by the inconsistencies of current games that can't reach 60 or fluctuate. The Metro 2033 remake included in Redux now boasts the gameplay additions and features form Metro Last Light, improving more than just the graphics.

This includes the better A.I., stealth, weapon customization and more that were seen in Last Light. New gameplay segments, hidden areas, and other bonuses have been added to 2033, as well, and loading areas between sections have been replaced with seamless movement.

You can watch for the graphics specifics below, which are better seen for yourself than described. Both games certainly look better than the originals, and are available together on Xbox One, PS4, and PC as Metro Redux for $49.99 (or individually for $24.99 each) on August 26.
