Styx Master Of Shadows' Fifth Gameplay Trailer Takes Aim At Assassin's Creed, Stalks Its Way Through The Darkness Before Release Next Week [VIDEO]

Styx: Master Of Shadows Requires Finesse And Patience; All Of Which Are On Display In The Fifth Gameplay Video

Styx: Master of Shadows launches next week on October 7. The game is a cunning little stealth action fantasy adventure that heavily emphasizes the stealth. In a playful send up to that other stealth action game coming out this November, Cyanide Studio, the game's developer, has released one final trailer before launch titled 'Assassin's Green 2'.

New Styx Developer Videos

You can watch the first one here. The new trailer is basically an unnarrated master class in the art of espionage and assassination. Styx, our diminutive and titular hero is doing his thing, obviously being controlled by someone who is very, very good at this game. The video combines all of the previous skills displayed, be they general stealth tactics, the effective use of Styx's cloning ability and the ever popular 'death from above'.

Well, "Being a 200 year old goblin, Styx is unique in that his nimble frame and athleticism lets him dance around his environment, relatively quietly with deadly speed and agility. However, while he is fast, agile, and cunning, he is also small, weak, and at constant risk of being surrounded should he knock over a vase, or land noisily, attracting the attention of the guards."

Assassin's Creed Rogue Achievements Released

We're several hours into Styx: Master of Shadows here at GameNGuide. We can't get into specifics, but I can definitely say that I am nowhere near as good as the developer playing the game in the video. It is a game of finesse and patience. Full review will be coming next week.

Styx: Master of Shadows comes out for Xbox One, PS4 and PC next Tuesday, October 7. Watch 'Assassin's Green 2' below.
