The fine folks over at Square Enix are teasing out the upcoming 2.4 patch for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. The forthcoming update to the resurrected and quite successful fantasy MMO, titled 'Dreams Of Ice' will introduce a new primal battle, Shiva for characters to war against, as well as the new Rogue and Ninja classes among other new features.

Square released several new screens today showing off 'The Final Coil of Bahamut, a level 50 8-man dungeon that will take roughly two hours to complete, and that's assuming you don't die along the way. It will be the hardest dungeon released. Currently, the 8-man dungeon The Binding Coil of Bahamut is among the most difficult instances in the entire game, so an even harder dungeon? Sign me up.
The Bahamut raid will complete the storyline, and according to RPGFan, will also be getting a new 'Savage' mode come patch 2.5, which should drop in the new year if the past release schedule of approximately every three months continues. Additionally, hard modes will be introduced to both the Sunken Temple of Qarn and Sastasha, which should increase the playability of each.

The upcoming Rogue class introduces the new dual-wielding specialist into the already robust pool of classes. The Ninja is a Rogue job sub-set and will unlock even more dextrous abilities.
All of this is in anticipation of a new trailer which will premiere tomorrow ahead of the Las Vegas Final FANtasy Festival, the first of three such engagements happening across the globe before the new year. A London version is planned for the end of October, while a Tokyo festival will happen in December. Tickets are sold out, but you can check out the full site for how to watch it all live.
