iPhone 5 Sweating with Samsung Galaxy S3 Release, Features

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is here after months of rumors and speculation.  The official release was announced at the Samsung Unpacked event in London as Samsung fans feasted their eyes on the latest Smartphone.

Official specs are now confirmed for the new device which is equipped with a quad-core Exynos Samsung processor and 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display. The screen offers HD visuals with its 1280 x 720p resolution, 1080p Full HD video recording feature, and 8mp camera running on 1GB of RAM.  Users can expand storage to 16, 32 and 64GB options via a microSD card.

The phone comes fully running on Android's Ice Cream Sandwich OS, which is skinned over with Samsung's TouchWiz UI.  Customers can choose from Pebble Blue, or Marble White colors.

"Our aim with the Galaxy S III was to develop the best smartphone ever made, and by focusing on creating a unique user experience through superior hardware and enhanced usability we believe we have done just that," said Samsung's Andy Griffiths. "The device has been created by keeping in mind our daily needs and capabilities as human beings."

To enhance the usability, Samsung Galaxy S3  will offer voice dictation  running on a voice command software along with free cloud storage through its partner DropBox. 

With the featured firepower that Samsung is throwing into its Galaxy S3, Apple's iPhone 5 will be looking to offer something beyond at its own release.  Samsung and Apple are expected to dominate the Smartphone market with the two superpowers leaving little for its competitors. Apple

"With other companies in the midst of major strategic transitions, the contest between Apple and Samsung will bear close observation as hotly-anticipated new models are launched," added Llamas.

Samsung will look continue its dominating  performance after outdoing Apple with 44.5 million Q1 shipments, according to Strategy Analytics.  The Samsung Galaxy S3 will also be moving quickly as the devices will hit retail stores in the coming weeks.  The S3 holds much promise as its predecessor Galaxy S2 and S1 series sold 30 million units. 

The delivery of speed, powerful specs, features , along with design is looking to catapult Samsung farther above the competition.
