New Middle Earth Shadow Of Mordor Game Awards Trailer Draws Inspiration From Fan Experience With The Nemesis System; Wins Best Adventure Game [VIDEO]

Shadow Of Mordor Wins Big At The Game Awards And Debuts A New Trailer Highlighting Your Own Personal Nemesis

Warner Brothers Interactive unveiled a new trailer for their popular action-adventure title Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor at The Game Awards this past weekend.

Oh Hell Yeah, King's Quest Is Coming Back Next Year!

The new trailer does something a little different. Rather than tell a traditional story, one created by the writers and producers of the game, it takes a cue from the fan experience. In Shadow of Mordor, the player experience is malleable, especially with regards to whom you have personal issues with. The Nemesis system, a great new AI that personalizes the experience, allows you to “forge your own nemesis” and create your own little revenge story.

The trailer is inspired by one fan’s experience with the very first Orc that killed him. Naturally, killing someone is the best way to put them on your To Do list for when you get back. Narrated by Talion (the ubiquitous Troy Baker), it weaves a tale of murder and revenge worthy of Tolkien.
