Apple Spotted with iOS 6 Banner at WWDC 2012

It appears that Apple will announce the iOS 6 at its 2012 Worldwide Developer Conference for sure. A Game-N-Guide contributor has spotted a big banner with iOS 6 logo that has been set up at West Moscone Center, where the Cupertino-based company will hold its annual developer conference.

The banner of OS X Mountain Lion, as expected, was also hung on the ceiling of the building.

Though speculations and rumors piled up as the WWDC event is coming around the corner, it is not a surprise to know that tech giant will unveil iOS 6. Phil Schiller, the senior vice president of Apple Inc., has promised to share the latest news about iOS and OS X Mountain Lion.

The banner showed the logo of iOS 6 with a slogan “The world’s most advanced mobile system.” The latest mobile phone operating system is predicted to bring a lot of improvements to the applications.

It has been widely rumored that Apple will replace Google Maps in the iOS 6 with its own development of mapping solution. What’s more, Apple is reportedly to add Baidu, China's largest search engine, to iPhones in China. This move is also expected to be announced at WWDC.

Other speculations include a smarter Siri that supports foreign languages such as Chinese, Japanese, and Korean and the functionality for FaceTime users to communicate with non-Mac users.

At last year’s WWDC, former Apple CEO Steve Jobs, deceased, presented iOS 5, OS X Lion, and iCloud.

This year, in addition to the iOS 6, Apple will also release OS X Mountain Lion which was announced earlier on Feb. 16. Experts from PC and notebook markets predict the Mountain Lion operating system is to be released late summer of this year to compete with Microsoft’s Windows 8.

Some of the other rumors about this year’s WWDC include Retina Display-equipped super thin MacBook Pro 2012 and the much anticipated iPhone 5.
