The next adventure in the robot ninja wizard genre mashup Ninjago has our four heroes squaring off against their most powerful foe yet: The Winter Soldier. Or rather, Ronin, who absolutely looks like he's the Winter Soldier. Ronin steals the memories of the Ninjas using an ancient and powerful artifact. But to what purpose? Well, I guess you'll have to find out.

"We've worked to make LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin the most expansive handheld adventure through the world of Ninjago yet," said Tom Stone, Managing Director, TT Games. "With the addition of such a dynamic new villain as Ronin, combined with well-known enemies, players will be able to embark on an exciting new journey."

"Players will battle foes while exploring a mysterious new island, as well as iconic locations from the TV series, including the Ice Temple, the Toxic Bogs, Chen's Island and the mountain village of Spinjago, where the Ninjas train in the art of Spinjitzu."

Last year's The LEGO Movie helped push the LEGO aesthetic to the mainstream, but the kind of comedy and action has long been a staple of the Ninjago animated series. Shadow of Ronin is an untold story that takes place between the fourth and upcoming fifth season of the show and will help launch the next LEGO set sometime this summer.
