Fans of the upcoming first-person shooting action-adventure game Star Wars Battlefront will get a taste of the game since EA entertainment announced that they will be releasing a beta version of the game for Xbox One, PS4, and PC this coming October.
The beta version will give the players a glimpse Star Wars Battlefront's huge scaled 40 player mode and Walker Assault on Hoth. Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader are also playable, but you have to unlock the characters. Nonetheless, the two iconic characters is such a treat, even if the game is still in its beta stage.
Star Wars Battlefront will also showcase its Survival Mission on Tatooine where the gamers will play as rebels that need to defend and push back the imperial army who are determined and strongly advancing.
Drop Zone is also a game mode that is playable on the Star Wars Battlefront beta version, but unlike the previous game modes, EA did not provide any information about it but vowed to provide more details about it on October, hopefully way ahead of time from the release.
EA also confirmed that all beta game progression, achievements, characters, character data, and any other in-game information will not be carried to the full version. The world-renowned game developer was also quick to add that since the game is in its beta version, errors, defects, glitches, and anything similar is inevitable, so everyone has been warned.
In addition, the announcement didn't mention anything about a restriction that is why the gaming community is assuming that the upcoming beta version will be an open community, meaning, everyone who wants to give the beta a try will get their chance. However, it is still unconfirmed since EA has yet to deny or confirm the rumor.
Electronic Arts, on top of the beta version of the Star Wars Battlefront, also announced that an online strategic card game, coined Battlefront Companion, will also come with the beta version.
The game is expected to hit the racks on November 17th.
