Halo 5: Guardians' Developer Promises Game To Run At 60 fps

Halo 5: Guardians' Developer Promises Game To Run At 60 fps

343 Industries Head's Josh Holmes, the group responsible for Halo 5 explained how the game will run, consistently, at 60 frames per second (fps) and said that right from the start, the organization's goal was to deliver the game at 60 fps across all modes of play. Holmes went on to say that they have to re-engineer the entire gameplay systems, at the very core, in order to deliver their promise.

In addition, Holmes said that the technology permits them to position resources where they have the most impact, across a diverse series of experiences, and at the same time delivering the most visually stunning Halo game that has graced the gaming industry.

Halo 5, according to reports, uses a progressive resolution system technology that jacks up the game's resolution to 1080p, which is, of course, based on the screen's resolution where the game is running.

Halo 5: Guardians is an upcoming first-person shooter video game and part of the Halo franchise, which is scheduled to be released on October 27 this year, by Microsoft and EA. The game was formally announced during the 2013 E3 conference right after revealing the then upcoming Halo 4.

During the 2015 E3 conference, Microsoft finally released the game's gameplay teaser, from the game's "The Battle of Sunaion" mission, which features Osiris of the Fireteam. During the conference, Halo 5's newest multiplayer game mode Warzone was also revealed.

The game mode will combine PvP (player versus player) and PvE (player versus environment) gameplay. Each team will have 12 members which will duke it out with the enemy called Covenant and Promethean AI bosses.

Halo 5: Guardians will continue to be exclusive with Microsoft, which is a total contradiction to previous rumors that it will be made available in other platforms in order to reach a wider audience.
