It was September 2014 when fans of the iconic simulation world of "Sims" welcomed its fourth installment, bringing a plethora of changes from its predecessor. The latest title spawned features such as an improved Create-A-Sim, easier cross neighborhood travel, emotion-driven gameplay and a brand new engine, among others. Today, while no official word has come from developers, speculations over the "Sims 5" are already online, building hype.
As it turns out, the fifth installment in the series is expected to arrive in 2019, Fab News cites. This is, of course, to be taken with caution, but it indeed makes sense to think that we won't be seeing a new "Sims" title very soon. The "Sims 4" arrived around 5 years after its predecessor, and packs continue to provide nourishment.
Followers would remember that upcoming contents for the "Sims 4" have been teased last month; a new game pack arrives in spring, while a new stuff pack comes in summer. There are also speculations that the 16-second clip hinted possible unisex features, particularly spotted in the characters' hairstyle, iDigitalTimes notes.
If there's anything "Sims 5" should be bringing up to the plate, it should be Sims looking more realistic than before, N4BB suggests. Simulation can be about many things, but it's safe to say that it all starts with good visuals - the more authentic-looking things are, the better gamers will feel while playing.
There are plenty of things players like to see in the next game, whenever it comes, and some include actual babies (and toddlers, for that matter), more careers, varied heights and more realistic transportation. While fans wait for Maxis and/or EA's word, it might be best to hope for the best.
