'Pokemon Go' Release Date, News & Update: Beta Testing Expands To United States, Here's How To Sign Up! Game To Be Released Soon

There has been a lot of rumor surrounding the upcoming augmented reality mobile gaming app "Pokemon Go" and it seems like the release date of the mobile gaming app will be very soon. In the past few months, the brains behind "Pokemon Go" has rolled out the beta test of the mobile gaming app. First, it was in Japan and the second countries to have the field test of "Pokemon Go" were in Australia and New Zealand.

As of the month of May, numerous questions have pop up about the beta testing of "Pokemon Go," whether it will come to the United States soon or not. Finally, after two months of the beta test of "Pokemon Go" rolled out, Niantic and The Pokemon Company has finally announced that the beta test will next be in the United States.

According to the Niantics announcement about "Pokemon Go," the registration for beta testers are now ongoing and for those who want to have the opportunity to be a beta tester of "Pokemon Go" can now register at their site. The future beta tester only needs to register their email address and indicate whether they are an Android or iOS user to be able to have the opportunity to play the beta version of "Pokemon Go."

Players can also share their name and Ingress level, an augmented reality game that Niantic has also developed and is in the app market now. Although registering for "Pokemon Go" is fast and quick, there is no assurance that the person who registered to be one of the beta testers of "Pokemon Go" who will be chosen. If chosen, then Niantics will ask the said person not to share the content of "Pokemon Go."

"Because the game involves numerous people playing in multiple countries at the same time, we have a lot to test before we publicly launch," Niantic says on its website. "This is why we are asking for your help. We would love for you to--if selected--download the field test version and play it. Your regular gameplay and feedback will help us iterate, polish, and make the game launch-ready."

"Please note: the app is still in active development, so it has a limited set of features at the moment and there may be things that don't work properly. We hope that you--as field testers--understand this and will work with us to make the Pokemon Go game experience truly phenomenal."
