Apple has so far been in the limelight because of the iPhone 7. But come September, it may not be the only one in focus with belief that the Cupertino company will also unveil the Apple Watch 2.
Official word on the Apple Watch 2 right now is nearly scarce and the rumor mill is the only feasible source of potential features. Though most are unofficial, the Apple wearable is expected to come out with new features to improve on the first Apple Watch.
One of the features that the Apple Watch 2 will include is reportedly GPS. The new feature will help account for accurate logging of workouts, meaning individuals will no longer have to rely solely on their iPhones according to 9 to 5 Mac.
Micro LED panels replacing OLED in Apple Watch 2
Aside from GPS, there is the more interesting take on the display technology that it will use. The word out on that is that the Apple Watch 2 will be shifting to Micro LED panels to deliver better resolutions and take some load off the wearable’s battery according to BGR.
Micro LED panels are thinner and lighter than OLED screens, hinting that the next wearable will be lighter and richer to use. That alone should be another keen reason for people to be interested on the Apple Watch 2.

To date, there is no official word on the end of Apple if the Apple Watch 2 will be out this September. However, a recent increase in the supply of components for the wearable could be more than enough reason to believe that Apple is busy prepping for an Apple Watch 2 release in about two months, Digitimes reported.

Then there is the watch OS 3, something that is expected to bring lots of fixes and improve on the Apple Watch’s performance, Yahoo reported. So far, it has been impressively fast and carries more user-friendly interface that should be present if and when the Apple Watch 2 does come out in the open.
