In line with the hiatus, rumors have escalated that the main culprit for the delay of "How to Train Your Dragon 3" was basically on the strategic move of Warner Bros. Rumors of the movie set for release on June 29th, 2018 has just been affirmed to not occur.

Comic Book also reports that there is indeed a schedule shift for the movies and that Fox has announced that it will move the release date of "How to Train Your Dragon 3" to par with the weathering tides of competition in the box office.
It seems that "How to Train Your Dragon 3" appearance would not be sooner than anticipated despite the surging demands for its release date. It has been presumed that the film would now occupy the original release date of "The LEGO Movie 2"
