"Marvel Ultimate Alliance" and its sequel are officially getting a relaunch after the San Diego Comic-Con announcement, and nothing could make fans happier about the news. Except, perhaps the possibility that "Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3" will be dropped if the older titles make a successful transition.
"Marvel Ultimate Alliance" And "Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2" Comeback Announced At SDCC 2016
There have been whispers about the Marvel games being relaunched for new generation consoles since June. Game & Guide has previously reported on the speculations, where the titles will be released to gauge fan interest on "Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3." Then everything was confirmed at SDCC 2016.
Marvel announced that "Marvel Ultimate Alliance" and "Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2" will both be available in PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 before the end of July. In addition to that, the highly anticipated sequel was also teased during the SDCC panel.

During the SDCC panel, it was questioned whether there are plans for more releases from the franchise (via Kotaku). Mike Jones, who is producing the re-release of the two "Marvel Ultimate Alliance" games, had an exciting response.
"Following the footsteps of a proud Marvel tradition, I'll say anything is possible, true believers!" Jones told the SDCC audience.
So does this mean that "Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3" is coming soon? Fans believe that the relaunch of the "Marvel Ultimate Alliance" games will be a stepping stone for the highly anticipated sequel.
