WWE Rumors 2016: Roman Reigns To Become Next United States Champion? [POLL, VIDEO]

Roman Reigns was officially taken out of the WWE Universal title picture after losing to Finn Balor at last week’s Monday Night Raw. “The Demon” will now take on former WWE heavyweight champion Seth Rollins for the right to be crowned the first ever Universal champion.

With the main event settled for SummerSlam 2016, where does Reigns go from here?

Reigns Re-Assigned?

Many were speculating that it may not be the last of the “Big Dog” and that he could turn heel. But after the recent Monday Night Raw episode, Reigns could be redirected to another WWE title, the United States Championship currently held by Rusev.

The US title pales in comparison with the heavyweight championship though it could be part of his re-development. Reigns continues to be booed and jeered with a heel-turn seen by most as a way to help.

Based on what transpired on the Aug. 1 episode of Raw, it may not be the case. A brewing new feud between the “Big Dog” and the “Bulgarian Brute” seems to be brewing so it wouldn’t be surprising if this gets escalated to a match at WWE SummerSlam on Aug. 21.

Reigns to relieve Rusev?

As everyone knows by now, Rusev and Lana tied the knot. The newlyweds haven’t gone on their honeymoon yet since the “Bulgarian Brute” is still the champion.

The only way Lana and Rusev can get a break is of the title is transferred to someone else. All that could have been answered a couple of days ago with a feud brewing with Reigns.

The possible move was received dividedly once again with most believing Reigns is not yet ready to be ‘the guy’. But with Rusev and Lana most likely needing to celebrate their new bond, this is seen as a likely scenario whether the WWE universe likes it or not.

The two did exchange shots but the storyline is likely to develop in the coming shows before SummerSlam 2016 officially kicks in.
