Rumors are rife that Stephen Lang, who portrayed the role of Miles Quaritch, will be replacing Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana as the new lead star in the upcoming "Avatar 2" movie. This ten sparked reports that the actors who portrayed Jake Sully and Neytiri were already fired from the franchise.
Reports about Stephen Lang replacing Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana as the main lead in "Avatar 2" started to make rounds after James Cameron revealed that Miles Quaritch will evolve in the upcoming sequels. "His character will evolve into really unexpected places across the arc of our new three-film saga. I really look forward to working with such a gifted actor, who's also become a good friend," the franchise creator told Deadline.
Aside from that, James Cameron is reportedly bringing back several characters in the "Avatar 2" movie. The upcoming film has been in the works since 2014, but no other details about it have been made public until now since the creator announced that it will be cancelled to give way to "Star Wars: Episode 8."
