Rapper the Game is Back in Grand Theft Auto V

It's always a good day when we get more news for GTA V. Rapper The Game sat down with Philly radio station Studio 96 where he revealed that he was working with Rockstar on the next GTA title. He didn't address the specifics of what he had done, or what character, but a confirmation is a confirmation.

Not the Game's first foray into the GTA world, he formerly played a minor character in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas by the name of B Dup, a former friend of San Andreas protagonist CJ.

With Rockstar confirming that the Grove Street gang would return in GTA V, it's possible that the Game reprised his role, as he was one of the few enemies CJ actually left alive. But neither Rockstar nor the Game has confirmed this, but I'd suspect he'll be playing an entirely new character.

Rockstar has promised to debut a new trailer for GTA V this Wednesday, which will hopefully give fans a bit more info. The trailer was supposed to arrive early this month, but according to Rockstar, "unfortunately Hurricane Sandy has derailed our plans somewhat but we will have something to show soon."

Grand Theft Auto 5 is set to arrive this spring, April 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
