Dead Island: Riptide's Sam B's Releases New Music Video with Chamillionaire (Watch it Here!)

Deep Silver has a history of tugging at the heart strings when teasing material for their Dead Island series, but it looks like they're trying something a bit different this time around.

"Diamond Horde Records today released "No Room in Hell", the latest music video from Rap Superstar Sam B.

Sam B rose to superstardom following his smash hit single "Who Do you Voodoo", which went on to achieve platinum-selling status.

Sam was booked for a special performance of his material at the Royal Palms Resort Hotel on the island of Banoi, but as a result of the recent communication blackout on the island, he has gone missing. Investigations about the incidents on Banoi are still ongoing.

To keep the memory about Sam B's recent disappearance alive, Diamond Horde Records is now proud to present his latest release: "No Room in Hell". The video of this track was shot shortly before Sam B's departure to Banoi. "No Room in Hell" is indicative of Sam B's distinctive rap style as first displayed on his first major hit single."

Yep. Deep Silver went the full nine and made a music video. Check it out below!

Like he did with Sam's hit song, Josef "J7" Lord returns as the rap voice of Sam in this video, though voice actor Phil LaMarr will reprise his role as Sam's voice throughout the rest of the game.

The title of the song should be recognized by any zombie fan worth his salt as a bit of an homage to Romero's classic zombie movie (the original, mind you) "Dawn of the Dead," where the quote "When there's no more room in hell, the dead will walk the Earth" originated.

I'm not the biggest hip hop fan, but I have to say, Deep Silver's dedication to this guerilla kind of advertising, and creation of a real world for the game, is flat out impressive.

At the time of Dead Island, Sam's career was on a bit of a downward spiral, as all of his songs following "Voodoo" never led to nearly as much success. He figured a gig at Banoi was his last chance at salvaging his career in music.

Sam will return, as do the rest of the survivors (plus a new one), in Dead Island: Riptide. The characters managed to escape the zombie infestation of Banoi, only to find themselves in the thick of another outbreak at the nearby island of Palanai.

As the name indicates, most of the environment is heavily flooded. Joining the undead as a new threat will be the weather of the environment itself. Torrential ran can limit player vision, and many areas can only be navigated by boat. The weather will also lead to environmental changes as well, so while one are was once nice and dry, a torrential downpour could flood the area completely later on.

A press release from publisher Deep Silver described the new island, as well as Palanai's featured town of Henderson, all set for players to explore. According to the release, "Henderson is situated on the island of Palanai in the once beautiful Banoi archipelago. Palanai caters to ultra-wealthy yacht owners and eco-tourists looking to stay nearby to the island's untouched jungle. Palanai's center is the luxurious town of Henderson that has grown into a Mediterranean-looking port town."

In addition to the new playable character and environments, Riptide also promises new mutated zombie types will be introduced, and I wouldn't be surprised if some new weapons and modifications were included as well. Also, for those who played the first Dead Island, you'll be able to keep your original character and use it again in Riptide.

Dead Island: Riptide is available for pre-order, and is planned to release April 23, 2013 for Windows PC, PS3, and XBox 360.
