Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Release Date, News & Update: 16GB RAM, 512 eMMC Storage Space Can Only Mesmerize? Specs & Features Revealed

Numerous reports on Microsoft Surface Pro 5 are flooding the Internet. Latest reports suggest that the laptop will be released in October. The device will boast a picture-perfect 4K quality and Ultra HD Display. The device will feature a screen resolution of 3,840×2,160 pixels.

Battery was a problem with the earlier Microsoft Surface Pro 4 that lasted 9 hours. This time Microsoft is expected to be packing a punch with better battery and developers have given special focus so that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 does not disappoint. The fifth generation laptop is also coming with a Kaby Lake processor.

Recently, the existing Surface Pro model received a price cut of US$280 (AU$370). The discount was because of a 50-hour sale. The sale ended on Aug. 20. The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 was earlier expected in June but that did not materialize as Microsoft wanted to add better features to it to wow fans.

According to The Bitbag, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 could be a great option for gamers as it may well be a gaming-oriented laptop. It will hit the shelves with a most-promising AMD graphics processor "Polaris" or NVIDIA's Pascal. Microsoft may also include a Surface Pen, replacing the current AAAA battery-powered stylus.

Gamers will also smile at Microsoft Surface Pro 5's 16GB RAM and 512 eMMC storage space as it will be perfect for heavy gaming and high performance. The Microsoft Surface 5 will come in three variants, m3-6Y30 (900 MHz up to 2.2 GHz), i5-6300U (2.4 up to 3.0 GHz) and i7-6650U (2.2 up to 3.4 GHz), backed by Intel Iris 540 graphics, Gig Jets had earlier reported.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 had a 12.3-inch touch screen display and 2736×1824 resolution. Its 128GB storage capacity, 8MP rear and 5MP front cameras, Cortana Digital Assistant and Windows 10 OS were pretty well-received. Will Microsoft Surface Pro 5 have these features too?

Fans are expecting the highly-anticipated Microsoft Surface Pro 5 to be launched this year in October. Tech Radar reported that the device's pricing will be similar to that of its predecessor. Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is likely to start with a base price of US$899. Prices would go up as per the configuration and accessories one desires.
