Behind the Scenes of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's "Surprise" Trailer

If you watch TV in the slightest, then without a doubt, you've watched the Black Ops 2 trailer seen below. After all, Robert Downey Jr. in an F-16 is kind of hard to miss.

The trailer also features a few other psuedo internet celebs that you may or may not be familiar with. Check out the behind the scenes look at the commercial below.

Directed by Guy Ritchie of "Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" fame, as well as the new "Sherlock Holmes" movies,
Here's a quick run-down...

The woman chucking the combat axes without a care in the world? That's Justine Ezarik, better known as iJustine, viral video star who found internet fame after making a video showing her 300 page iPhone bill.

The guy commanding the drones? Kyle Lamar Myers, AKA "Dmitri Potapoff," or better yet, FPSRussia, another YouTube celeb with a penchant for testing a whole smorgasbord of weapons out on dozens of helpless mannequins. He also enjoys Hitman: Absolution.

And of course, the man in the jet, Robert Downey Jr. If you don't know who this man is, I can't help you. Still no idea who the woman on the horse is though.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 sees players assume the role of Alex Mercer's son, David. As indicated by the trailer, the game is set in war-torn Los Angeles in the year 2025, and the People's Republic of China has invaded Los Angeles due to a global struggle involving rare earth minerals. At the same time, a terrorist by the name of Raul Menendez manages to infiltrate the miltary network to take over hundreds of the U.S's own automated drones, using them to attack its major cities. Sounds a bit far fetched, but it's really not.

Players will take a trip back in time where they'll meet a younger version of Menendez, and see how events of the past shaped him into the man he becomes.

About one third of the game will be played as Alex Mason, seeing and understanding how the monster Menendez was created, and what he's capable of.

While players will play as David throughout Black Ops 2, his father Alex will make an appearance, as will Frank Woods. Players will be able to make choices throughout the game that will affect the story, including a variety of endings.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is out now for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, and Nintendo's Wii U.
