Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is rumored to be launched on Sept. 24. Based on the new leak, the smartphone is coming in two different configurations.
The new leak was shown in a type of a teaser for a launch event, yet only in a form of number 9.24 written on it, implying a Sept. 24 release date. Including the logo of Xiaomi as well as the Mi Note 2 above it. However, the leaked photos shared by the publication AndroidPure do not provide much information except for the release date, Phone Arena reported.
There are speculations that while Xiaomi may allow Mi Note 2 for purchase on Sept. 24, the Chinese company is unlikely to launch the smartphone on such date, since it falls on a Saturday, an odd day to release a flagship device, according to reports. Nonetheless, Xiaomi is expected to announce it a few days earlier. Also, there is a possibility that an early launch may take place on Sept. 14 for Xiaomi Mi Note 2, based on the leak on the social networking site Weibo.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 leak also reveals that the device will have a curved screen, a dual rear camera setup and the Snapdragon 821 processor. It also hinted that the smartphone will sport a 5.7-inch 2K display, contrary to the previous rumor that it will come in a 5.5-inch screen size. In addition, the leak may also come with a 13MP dual camera on its rear. As for the price, it is expected to cost 2,999 yuan or about $450, Techno Buffalo reported.
With two different Xiaomi Mi Note 2 leaks give different launch dates, the people are interested to find out which one hits the target. According to reports, the leaked photo shared by AndroidPure appears to be authentic and may likely be the real one, although it suggests that Xiaomi will break from convention and launch the device over the weekend.
