‘Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2’ Latest News & Updates: Now Jam Packed with New Game Modes, Weekly Events, and ‘Rux’

After being the King of the mobile gaming industry for quite some time, "Plants vs. Zombies" is set to conquer the console genre. Its latest updates pack a whole lot of exciting content which will totally revamp the experience of the game for players new and old.

Game developer of the "Plants vs. Zombies" franchise PopCap games has just released the game's free content update which is dubbed as "Trial of Gnomus." This new update has garden gnomes as its central theme, a Cats vs. Dinos game mode, and a well dressed vendor named Rux the Deal Breaker.  Mobile N Apps reports that the "Trial of Gnomus" update will fill the game with brand new content that will totally revision the whole experience which the game gives.

Some features of the new content include new "Plants vs. Zombies" game modes, weekly events that give off some rewarding loot, a queer gnome merchant which sells rare goods, and a gnome underworld. It also features the Mystery Portal, a magic gateway built by gnomes so that they could test the capacities of the plants and zombies. Players can pass through the Mystery Portal and there, play three new limited time game modes and produce Rainbow Stars that would unlock the Gnome Underworld and the Rainbow Chests.

Kotaku reports that some new features include Super Mix Mode which is a new game that can be experienced in the Mystery Portal and new board quests. Also worth noting is a new map, the Trials of Eternity which may or may not test a player's ability, and a lot more surprises and stuff. In Trials of Eternity, a player's velocity, memory, shooting and puzzle skills will be tested and if completed, new rewards from the legendary customization items can be unlocked. "Trials of Gnomus" also adds some time limited card packs that would allows its players to be able to access some items from Infinity Time.

"Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2" is set after "Garden Warfare" and takes a new twist as the plants are now attacking and the zombies are defending. The game was released worldwide last February 25 and is supported by major platforms PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
