‘Bates Motel’ Season 5 Air Date, Cast, Spoilers, News & Update: Rihanna’s Marion Crane Bridges Series With Alfred Hitchcock’s ‘Psycho’

When "Bates Motel" Season 5 release date arrives next year, fans can expect one thing for certain. Rihanna's character Marion Crane will eventually die in the hands of Norman Bates, played by Freddie Highmore.

Rihanna Brings To Life Marion Crane's Tragic Story

Rihanna was already announced to join the "Bates Motel" cast, as previously reported by GamenGuide. The multi-awarded singer and songwriter will portray the role of Marion Crane who is important to the "Bates Motel" Season 5 storyline as she will bridge the gap between the series and the iconic Alfred Hitchcock 1960 movie "Psycho."

At the moment, it is not yet revealed how much of Rihanna's Marion Crane story will be adapted from the "'Psycho" movie. However, the one thing that "Bates Motel" Season 5 writers and showrunners would never deviate from is that Crane will end up being killed by Norman just like in the movie. This has to be the defining moment where fans will finally realize that the troubled and weird kid in the early part of the series has now fully transformed into the completely insane and dangerous person portrayed in the original film.

How Will Rihanna's Character Marion Crane Die In "Bates Motel" Season 5?

While it is certain that the character that Rihanna will portray with the arrival of "Bates Motel" Season 5 release date eventually dies, the manner of Marion Crane's death is still subject to much speculation. Apparently, even director Alfred Hitchcock veered away from the original death scene narrated in the Robert Bloch 1959 novel "Psycho," where the movie was based on.

In the novel, Marion was killed rather brutally. She died after Norman Bates cut off her head. However, the 1960 movie showed that she died due multiple stab wounds inflicted by Bates. So how will Rihanna's character be killed in the coming "Bates Motel" Season 5 release?

It's anybody's guess for now because none of the "Bates Motel" cast nor its showrunners is talking about it. Even Rihanna is silent on the issue. Fans will have to find out for themselves when  Marion Crane's tragic story starts to unfold with the coming "Bates Motel" Season 5 release date.

Who Plays The Boyfriend Of Rihanna's Character?

But it now appears that the "Bates Motel" Season 5 cast is not yet complete. In the "Psycho" movie, Marion Crane is in a relationship with a financially challenged boyfriend, which probably caused her to steal the $40,000 and hid in the motel, an unfortunate choice of hiding place for Marion. So who gets to play opposite Rihanna in the coming "Bates Motel" Season 5?

For now, A&E is still scouting for the appropriate hunk to play as Sam, boyfriend of Rihanna's Marion Crane, in "Bates Motel" Season 5, reports TV Line. The actor needs to be a "sexy devil" indeed, a man that could make a woman like Marion steal $40K back in the 60s which is probably worth millions today.

'Bates Motel' Season 5 Air Date

A&E is yet to reveal a definite "Bates Motel" Season 5 air date. But, there are speculations that it could premiere by March 2017. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for updates.
