'Pokemon GO Plus' Latest News & Updates: Device Already Sold Out on First Day of Release?

Now that the first wave of the "Pokemon GO" craze is seemingly over, Nintendo has released the promised accessory to the game that will surely get Pokeheads back in the game. The Pokemon GO Plus was released yesterday but it looks like the device already sold out on the first day of release.

For those who aren't in the know, the Pokemon GO Plus is an add on accessory for "Pokemon GO" players who want to take the game a step further. It's a cool new wearable accessory that lets you play the game even without your smartphone. Although the game must be open on the smartphone, this device which already sold out on first day of release will be connected to the phone via Bluetooth technology.

According to Heavy, the Pokemon GO Plus will alert the user by vibrating and lighting up whenever a Pokemon is in the gamer's immediate area. The green light indicates a Pokemon that a gamer has already captured before. Gamers can just press the button to throw a Pokeball to capture it and once it's successfully collected, the device that already sold out on the first day of release will vibrate tree times and display an array of colorful lights. A red light will be flashed if the Pokemon managed to get away.

The Pokemon GO Plus which users believe is a device already sold out on the first day of release is only good for capturing Pokemon that you've already collected before. It will display a yellow light and vibrate if it encounters a new Pokemon, alerting the user to grab his or her phone and use this instead to capture the new Pokemon.

This seems like an exciting new way to play "Pokemon GO." So exciting that it seems the device already sold out on the first day of release. According to Polygon, Nintendo made an announcement about the Pokemon GO Plus being available beginning September 16. However, it seems that they are keeping quiet about where it can actually be purchased.

As of now, we only know that the Pokemon GO Plus that sold out on the first day of release is available via GameStop's website and retail stores. It seems that elsewhere, it's not available yet.
