Apple's upcoming laptop, the MacBook Pro 2016, is definitely one of the most talked-about releases this year. Although the company has yet to announce the highly anticipated device, several rumors and speculations have already emerged all over the Internet suggesting its advanced specs and top-of-the-line features. According to the latest reports, Apple's latest flagship portable computer is expected to arrive in October.
Despite the Cupertino based company's continued silence with regard to the development and release of the new MacBook Pro 2016, several leaks and concrete details have already been shared by its fans and critics. Apple is said to do several major changes on the new laptop as they plan to recapture their place in the tight laptop market. It was previously reported that the company will wait for Intel's next generation core processor before they release the new device. However, the powerful Kaby Lake chipset will not be available until the end of this year, which could mean that Apple may consider the current SkyLake processor to power the new MacBook Pro 2016.
Although these reports have yet to be confirmed by Apple itself, many people believe that the company will hold a press conference this month to introduce the new MacBook Pro 2016. There are reports coming from Ming-Chi Kou, a KGI Securities analyst, who said that part of Apple's MacBook Pro reinvention is to develop a slimmer and lighter design. Rumor has it that the new laptop will also carry an OLED display panel, which will replace the traditional function keys right above the keyboard. However, experts doubt if the plan will push through if the company decides to come up with a thinner MacBook Pro 2016.
Meanwhile, other features of the device will include the USB-C port and a new audio port similar to that of the new iPhone 7. MacBook Pro 2016 will arrive in three different color variants - gold, gray and silver.
