NBA Trade Rumors 2016: Jimmy Butler For Paul George Trade Lacks Resources

With the NBA preseason underway, ballclubs are weighing in on the changes on their rosters if needed. The Chicago Bulls have suffered two losses so far and Jimmy Butler has once again been mentioned in trade scenarios.

Though the suggestions are seen nothing more but inconclusive as most sites try to stir up some storylines ala WWE, trade scenarios this early may not be reliable. The landscape changes when the regular season starts though it may take a couple of games to determine the real fate of players like Jimmy Butler.

For the sake of argument, a buzz has been created by a potential Jimmy Butler for Paul George trade. Right off, the idea is off with the previous word that George has a standing max offer ready from Larry Bird and company, ESPN reported.

Indiana Pacers will want more than Jimmy Butler

Assuming that the Bulls do want to add Paul George, it may take more than Jimmy Butler to make it work. Chicago needs to unload a couple of guys as well, sweeteners that could capture the attention of the Pacers.

Among the Bulls who could be let go include Doug McDermott and Denzel Valentine to go with Jimmy Butler. If that isn’t enough, adding a future draft pick could have Larry Bird thinking of the swap. Lopsided as the deal looks, many feel that this is a fair shake for the Bulls and the Pacers.

Are the Bulls and Pacers even talking?

Aside from the preseason game which saw Jimmy Butler score 13 points to the Pacers (93-91), there is no official word that both the Bulls and the Pacers are even negotiating right now, CBS reported.

Right now, the viability of trade lacks support meaning any Jimmy Butler or Paul George move is dumbfounded with most sites simply trying to create hype. Check back after a few regular season NBA games and perhaps some sanity on NBA trade rumors like this could somehow make sense.
