Rockstar Games continues to be silent about the status of its hotly anticipated game sequel, "Grand Theft Auto 6." This sparked rumors that the plans for the title may have been put on hold, or even worse - scrapped. However, there are also reports stating that "GTA 6" is secretly under development and that Rockstar will release the game sometime in 2018.
The game developer hasn't confirmed anything yet, but according to reports, part of the reason why "GTA 6" hasn't been released yet is because of the current success of the current game, "GTA 5," the online multiplayer mode of which recently received the latest "Biker" DLC. "GTA 5" continues to be popular among gamers and it would only make sense why Rockstar doesn't seem to be chasing any deadlines when it comes to the next installment of the franchise.
Meanwhile, "GTA 6" locations have been subjects of rumors for quite some time now as fans are excited to know when Rockstar will take the game next. Since the developer has been mum, fans have started to formulate their own theories. According to the latest reports, there are several possible locations for the next "GTA" game based on the Easter eggs found in previous and current installments. According to YouTuber Sernandoe analysis on "GTA 5," it is likely that the next game will take place in locations that have been featured in previous installments.
As explained in the video, air tickets bearing the flyU6 logo was spotted and this could indicate that "GTA 6" will once again be set across the United States. The words "I Love VC" were also spotted on a towel on the shores of the beach in the current game installment. VC stands for Vice City, which means that the next game could also be set in this location.
London is also one of the long-rumored locations for the next "GTA" game and it turns out that Sernandoe has also spotted an Easter egg for UK citied. Will one of these aforementioned locations really be part of "GTA 6?" Fans will only find out once Rockstar makes the official announcement.
