Rumors regarding "Person of Interest" season 6 started to emerge, claiming that CBS has taken interest in the high public demand for the show's return. However, there are reports suggesting that the cast and producers do not believe that a reunion in any form would be very likely. Showrunners Greg Plagerman and Jonah Nolan spoke about the likelihood of reviving the show, either through a spinoff or a sixth season. But even the two are not optimistic that this plan would push through.
"Person of Interest" season 6 is unlikely, due to the fact that the chances for a spinoff, where the canon and mythology of the show should be elaborated have reportedly lapsed. The two showrunners believe that the most ideal time would have been in Season 2. However, it was decided not to push through, since they had no intention to produce anther show and result to weakening both the new and the current one, Bustle reported.
Meantime, "Person of Interest" starrer Sarah Shahi has expressed her interest in returning for her character if given the opportunity. It should be noted that the series concluded with Machine going out to her as a replacement to Reese. If a revival would happen, Shahi is reported to imagine a bionic arm, including a shaved head for Shaw. However, the actress also believes that a spinoff would not likely happen since the cast and crew have moved on to other projects, Cinema Blend reported.
