Apple iPad Air 3 release date could have been delayed until further notice. However, rumor mills are running full swing as to the device's specs, features, price and its release date. While some believe that the iPad Air 3 could be releasing on Oct. 27, many are doubtful whether the Cupertino company will at all be releasing the device.
When Apple released the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, it started a rumor that the company could be sticking to the Pro line from now on. As per ITPRO, the company could be putting an end to the iPad Air line altogether. However, if at all Apple releases the iPad Air 3 and then decides to stop production of the line, the device could be thinner, lighter and less robust than its predecessor.
Just like the iPhone 6s, the iPad Air 3 could sport an aluminum body to make it bend-proof. The device could be made available in rose gold, gold and silver.
The Apple iPad Air 3 could come with A9 or A9x processor. A flash for the back camera and a Retina flash for the front camera, like that in the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, may be incorporated. Further reports suggest that the Apple iPad Air 3 could be made compatible with the Apple Pencil.
There could be a Smart Connector on the left side so that a Smart Keyboard Cover could be connected. This will in turn help in dragging the power from its battery. While it is impossible to say what Apple will do with its iPad Air 3, some tech enthusiasts believe that Apple is simply waiting for the right time to release the tablet and is in no hurry.
