Gamers who have long waited for “Minecraft: Story Mode” can do so now following the release of the first episode, “Order of the Stone”. The first of eight episodes is available for free for Android, iOS, Xbox One, PS4 and the PC but only for a limited time. That said, folks who want to take “Minecraft: Story Mode” may want to take up Telltales Games and Mojang on their offer before they change their minds.

“Minecraft: Story Mode” will tackle the journeys of Jesse and friends as they go on adventures filled with perils and rewards. That includes embarking expeditions to “Overworld”, “Nether” and “The End”. It will be up to Jesse and company to find out what went wrong when they meet an Order member, ending up doing a quest to find the Order and save the world, Windows Central reported.

With eight episodes to look forward to, more good stuff is to be expected moving forward for “Minecraft: Story Mode” players. The bad news is that succeeding chapters will no longer be free, meaning gamers will have to shell out cash to continue the journey.

For those who want to move on in “Minecraft: Story Mode”, it would be best to weigh the options for other episodes. They can be purchased at special discounts with options to buy the full game via Season Pass, Adventure Pass, Season Pass Deluxe and The Complete Adventure for all gaming platforms, Cinema Blend reported.

“Minecraft: Story Mode – The Complete Adventure” can be purchased starting Oct. 25 for $29.99 for the PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, and Xbox One in North America. A PC version has yet to get a release date though there is one in the works. The Complete Edition will offer five Episode 1 chapters and three characters coming from the Adventure Pass series. European gamers will get the disc on October 28, Neurogadget reported.
