"The Originals" Season 4 on January 2017 is slated to feature a five-year time jump. Rumors have been circulating that Summer Fontana who plays Hope, Klaus' daughter will rescue her father from the agonizing pain while in nightmares because of a curse previously at the season 3 finale. If true, Hope would have grown in Season 4 with combined powers of a vampire, witch and werewolf to save her father.
However, rumor has it that Klaus may reach his imminent death in "The Originals" Season 4. The series will allegedly take a bow after the upcoming season granting that it has lost its lead character. On the other hand, reports claim that Klaus may outlive Season 4 being that he is an original hybrid which may make it difficult to kill him. Furthermore, Hope and the whole Mikaelson clan remains able to save him from his ordeal, according to a report.
In addition, it is believed that if Klaus gets to outlive "The Originals" Season 4, then the series will be renewed for yet another season run. However, it is also reported that the series may leave The CW and transfer to ABC. It is further believed that the storyline for the upcoming season will include a love triangle between Klaus, Caroline and Stefan.
Meanwhile, in the midst of speculations that the "Originals" Season 4 will be the last installment for the series, CW president Mark Pedowitz allegedly believes that a season 5 will see the light of day. On the other hand, if the show does not survive on CW it may just air on another network instead, Bustle reported. The rumored network, ABC is yet to confirm this speculation.
"The Originals" Season 4 is also said to feature a new villain to be played by "The Originals" writer Michael Narducci whose character is yet to be revealed. However, it is speculated that Narducci will portray someone who holds a grudge against the Mikaelson clan.
