"Bates Motel" Season 5 fans are in for an unexpected plot for the American horror television series' finale. A new cast has also been revealed according to reports.

It was last year during the San Diego Comic-Con that show runners confirmed that "Bates Motel" Season 5 will be the series' finale. Naturally, fans are eager to know what is in store for them in NBC's mystery drama. The executive producer has been teasing their fans that it will be something unexpected.

According to some speculations, "Bates Motel" Season 5 will focus on how Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore) will cope with his mother's untimely death. Vera Farmiga plays the role of Norma Bates who is Norman's mother.

Norman is so affected by his mother's untimely death that he will become more of a psychopath in "Bates Motel" Season 5 which can be likened to the story of "Psycho," a film by Alfred Hitchcock in 1960. In the previous season, fans saw Norma's demise as a result of his mental conditioned.

Meanwhile, Isabelle McNally will reprise he role as Madeleine Loomis in "Bates Motel" Season 5. Fans are speculating that Loomis could possibly be a younger version of Norma. After all, their character has an uncanny resemblance. She is described as kind and gentle, with appearance that looks like Norman's mother.

Madeleine Loomis' presence in the plot of "Bates Motel" Season 5 could aggravate Norman's mental condition. If he is still coping with his mother's untimely death, how would he react to seeing a younger version of his mother?

"Bates Motel" Season 5 is expected to air on March 2017, though show runners have not released an official announcement just yet. Are you excited to see more of Norman Bates in the series' finale? Stay tuned to GamenGuide for the latest spoilers, news and update!
