PlayStation 4 Pro & PS4 Slim New Accessories, News & Update: Four New Peripherals To Launch Soon

Sony announced that there will be four new peripherals for the PlayStation 4 Slim and PlayStation 4 Pro. Each will be sold separately and offer a unique experience for PlayStation 4 gamers.

IGN revealed that the PlayStation 4 Slim and PS4 Pro will have four new related devices, namely a new version of the DualShock 4, a vertical stand for both gaming consoles, a platinum wireless headset, and a new PlayStation 4 camera. The DualShock 4 controller has a new lightbar-on-touchpad model that will work on both new PlayStation 4 editions.

It will arrive at a price of $59. The PlayStation 4 Camera has been redesigned although it will retain all the internal features of the original version.

The new camera will currently have a cylindrical shape, as well as an angle-adjusting stand, which may add convenience with the PlayStation VR. The new camera of the PlayStation 4 retails at $59.

The PlayStation 4 Slim and PS4 Pro will also feature a new translucent vertical stand for mounting, adds The Verge. The two models will no longer fit the original PlayStation 4 stand. It will cost $24.

The fourth peripheral is the platinum wireless headset with 7.1 virtual surround sound, a noise-cancelling hidden microphone, a 3.5mm audio cable for PS VR or mobile devices, and 3D audio for supported PlayStation 4 games. The special headset is priced at $159.

The new PlayStation 4 camera, stand and DualShock were released Sept. 15, 2016, while the platinum wireless headset will launch in December. In the meantime, PlayStation 4 fans are looking forward to the PS4 Pro, which mainly offers 4K gaming.

The PlatyStation 4 costs $399 and features a 1TB hard drive and an extra USB plug and optical audio out. Its GPU is also faster and more powerful than the original PlayStation 4. It has 8GB of GDDR5 RAM and a faster CPU.

The PS4 Pro is reportedly 2.28 times faster than the standard PlayStation 4. Gamers with a 4K TV will benefit the most from the new system. The PS4 Slim launched in September 2016, while the PS4 Pro launched on November 10.
