‘Grand Theft Auto 6’ Release Date, News & Update: What Should Gamers Expect In 2020? More Cars, Maps, Quests & Bonuses Coming?

Rockstar Games gave gamers a big break when they announced the coming of “Red Dead Redemption 2” in 2017 though the obvious casualty is “Grand Theft Auto 6”. While the timeline for release was expected to be 2018, many believe that the company may not have enough resources and time to work on two separate IPs.

Hence, 2020 is believed to be the realistic year to expect “Grand Theft Auto 6”. There is one expected to come with Rockstar Games previously mentioning that they are in the small stages of development for the sixth installment as reported in a previous post.

The only thing certain at this point that the foundation has been laid out for “Grand Theft Auto 6”. No location or setting has been decided on meaning only preliminary production has commenced for GTA 6, Cinema Blend reported.

Aside from that, everything has been rumored for “Grand Theft Auto 6”. The things to expect are plenty and that includes seeing a female protagonist, an expected new map with the rest likely hinted through the added content for GTA 5, Neurogadget reported.

Virtual reality integration for “Grand Theft Auto 6” is another possibility though it still depends on the hype for the said technology. Tied up to that are the features that new game consoles coming from Sony and Microsoft, both of which are expected to jack up the display (possibly 4K or 5K). In all, this will be a key indicator on how Rockstar Games intends to approach GTA 6.

Despite the realistic wait for a 2020 release, expect some “Grand Theft Auto 6” fans to hope for an earlier release. Seeing, however, the attention and focus on “Red Dead Redemption 2” right now, any feedback on the status of GTA 6 will likely start once the sequel comes out in the Fall of 2017.
