"Nashville" Season 5 may be have had a few rough months but the country music drama's producers and writers has finished negotiations to move to another network. The show, which was cancelled in ABC earlier this year, will now be airing on sister network and country music channel CMT. Even more exciting about "Nashville" season 5 are reports that Beyonce will be heading for a guest starring role in the drama.
While, according to TV Guide, that stars Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere will be returning, it has been reported that Beyonce is in negotiations to appear in a guest role on "Nashville" Season 5. After Rolling Stone reported the controversy that exploded when Beyonce appeared on the CMA Music Awards earlier this month, executives at CMT are said to be interested in the publicity the "Drunk In Love" singer would bring to the show. This is all the more needed as "Nashville" season 5 would have lower ratings as expected of a series moving from network television to cable.
"Nashville" Season 5 will make its premiere on Thursday, January 5, 9 pm ET on its new home network, CMT. Audiences may also stream the episode the day after it airs on CMT. Beyonce, on the other hand, will be gearing for possibly garnering the most nominations in the upcoming Grammy Awards scheduled to be announced on Tuesday, December 6, with the winners awarded in the ceremony itself on Sunday, February 12, 2017.
