Those who have been watching the first season of "The Shannara Chronicles" have hailed the adaptation to the popular Terry Brooks novel series as the next "Game of Thrones." The TV series remake to the popular horror movie franchise was renewed for a third season and is expected to debut in the middle of next year.
With "Teen Wolf" season 6 becoming the last of MTV's most popular show, the pressure is on for "The Shannara Chronicles" Season 2 and "Scream" season 3 to become a hit when "Teen Wolf" season 6 ends. While Terry Brooks' interview with Entertainment Weekly indicated that the vision of the show is nothing like "Game of Thrones," it will definitely help if "The Shannara Chronicles" Season 2 would have that kind of ratings numbers and fan dedication.
A bigger pressure is definitely much higher on "The Shannara Chronicles" Season 2 as it has a bigger budget when compared to "Scream" season 3. When Coming Soon reported that "The Shannara Chronicles" was renewed for a second season, it was still unknown that "Teen Wolf" season 6 will be the last for the werewolf series.
You can watch "The Shannara Chronicles" Season 2 when it premieres in summer 2017. On the other hand, "Scream" season 3 will also premiere next year, possibly in the spring season.
